How to close your myteam11 account and what happens to the data
Account closure is one path inside the app. KYC records are retained for the legally required window; wallet balance above the withdrawal threshold can be withdrawn before closure.
The four-step closure path inside the app
Open the app and pick Profile
The profile tab is the bottom-right icon.
Tap Settings → Delete account
The option sits at the bottom of the settings list, below Security and Notifications.
Choose a reason and confirm
The screen lists seven reason options; pick one and tap "Delete account" at the bottom.
Confirm via OTP
An OTP fires to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and the closure is queued.
What happens to the wallet balance
If the wallet balance is above the withdrawal threshold at the time of closure, withdraw it first. The closure path does not auto-withdraw; any balance left in the wallet at closure is forfeited to the platform and cannot be recovered. The withdrawal threshold is documented on /wallet-kyc/.
What happens to the KYC records
KYC documents (PAN, Aadhaar, bank proof) are retained for 5 years from the date of last transaction, per the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and the master directions of the Reserve Bank of India. After the retention window, the documents are deleted from the publisher's primary storage and from the back-up tier. The retention window is the legal minimum, not the publisher's policy.
Re-opening the account
A closed account cannot be re-opened on the same mobile number. To play again, register a fresh account from the same or a different device. The new account starts at zero wallet balance and must clear KYC at the first withdrawal again.
The confirmation email
Within 24 hours of OTP confirmation, the publisher sends a closure email to the address on file (if one was added during KYC). The email lists the closure timestamp, the wallet balance at closure, and the KYC retention window. If the email does not arrive within 24 hours, the closure may not have queued; raise a ticket via /customer-care/.
State rule Paid entry is restricted in Assam, Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Nagaland. The app enforces the list at sign-up and again at first deposit. Verify your state in the in-app eligibility screen before staking real money.
What stays, what goes, and what you can reopen
Closing your account takes effect inside the app immediately; the team, contest entries, wallet balance, and KYC records are all on the same profile. The path is Profile to Settings to Delete account, followed by the confirmation email that the app sends to the registered address.
What goes on closure: the team draft, contest entries, the wallet balance at the time of closure, the captain and vice-captain selections across active contests, and the in-app preferences you set. The closure is irreversible from inside the app; the reopen path requires a new sign-up and a new KYC pass.
What stays on closure: the KYC records the operator is required to retain. The retention window is set by Indian KYC rules and the operator's compliance policy; the canonical source is the in-app Privacy screen. We do not control this retention; the operator does, and the in-app screen is where the current window is published.
The wallet balance at the time of closure is either withdrawn through the normal UPI flow or forfeited if the wallet is below the operator's minimum withdrawal threshold. The minimum threshold is visible inside the app; we do not publish a figure because it can shift between cycles.
The reopen path requires a new sign-up with a different phone number, a new email verification, and a fresh KYC pass. The closure record is not removed by a reopen; the operator keeps the closure record alongside the new account record. If you want the closure record removed too, the request goes through the data protection contact on /privacy/.
If you are unsure about closure, the safer first step is a session timeout or a deposit limit, both of which are reversible and both of which are documented on /responsible-play/. Closure is the strongest single action; timeouts and limits are the graduated steps before it.
Editorial methodology for the account-closure walk-through
The delete-account reference is a step-by-step walk-through for closing a myteam11 account. We publish the in-app path, the KYC retention window, and the wallet-balance treatment. The methodology is the same as every other page on myteam11play.com: name the source, name the verification date, and do not invent a retention window.
For the in-app path, the source is the in-app Profile, Settings, and Delete account flow. We do not publish a path that the in-app navigation does not surface. The path is the canonical reference; we do not paraphrase the screen labels.
For the KYC retention window, the source is the myteam11 product brand's Privacy Policy and the Indian Information Technology Act 2000. We do not publish a retention window that is not in the product brand's Privacy Policy. The retention window is the canonical reference; we do not invent a shorter window.
For the wallet-balance treatment, the source is the in-app Help tab's Wallet Withdrawal flow. We do not publish a wallet-balance treatment that the in-app Help tab does not surface. The wallet-balance treatment is the canonical reference; we do not project a payout.
For what we do not, the answer is publish a confirmation email that the product brand has not sent. Our delete-account desk does not paraphrase the confirmation email; the delete-account record notes the verification path so the reader can confirm the closure inside the app.
For what the reader must do, the answer is open the in-app Delete account flow and follow the path. The path is the canonical reference; we do not promise a timeline. The confirmation is the in-app screen, not myteam11play.com.
Update cadence: delete-account steps get a fresh review whenever the in-app delete-account path changes, the KYC retention window changes, the wallet-balance treatment changes, or the product brand publishes a new account-closure policy. The review date is in the footer of every page on myteam11play.com.
What we does not publish
The delete-account reference does not publish an in-app path that the in-app navigation does not surface. We do not publish a KYC retention window that the product brand's Privacy Policy does not contain. We do not publish a wallet-balance treatment that the in-app Help tab does not surface.
We do not publish a confirmation email that the product brand has not sent. We do not publish a closure timeline that the product brand has not adopted. We do not publish a closure outcome that the test account has not recorded.
Our role is the editorial coverage. The reader's role is the closure decision. We does not substitute its editorial coverage for the reader's own closure decision; the reader can follow the in-app Delete account flow and confirm the closure inside the app. The verified entry route is at /app/.
